PETA's 25th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards Show will take place on Saturday, September 10, at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, California.
This unique fundraising event, which begins at 6 p.m., is dedicated to raising funds to stop animal abuse and suffering. It will celebrate and showcase PETA's ground-breaking campaigns to help animals, which first began in 1980.
Using the spectacular "New York Street" back lot at Paramount, where movies including Breakfast at Tiffany's and Forrest Gump were filmed, along with TV shows such as Friends and Seinfeld, as its backdrop, the event will include the following:
- A star-studded "red carpet" arrivals area
- A cocktail reception and dinner with food provided by many of the best vegan
restaurants and food and wine purveyors in the world
- A cruelty-free street fair
- An awards ceremony recognizing many of the entertainment industry's most visible and active animal advocates
- Musical and comedy entertainment by some of your favorite performing artists
There will also be a spectacular silent auction featuring many celebrity—donated items, vacation packages, "walk-on" movie and television parts, wonderful art, and unique cruelty-free gifts.
Following the awards ceremony and show—there will be a very special "after-party" on the movie set which will include dancing, celebrity entertainment, and a fantastic array of vegan desserts and specialty drinks—all served under the stars on Paramount's world-famous New York Street.
